Event Report: Bournemouth Beach Aquathlon Series 2008
at the
Westover Rowing Club, Bournemouth Seafront

A series of midweek swim-run events of varied distances!
Fun and friendly, aimed at all ability levels!

PROGRAMME

6.00pm Registration opens at the Westover Rowing club
7.00pm Swimmers commence course
8.00pm (approx) Last runners complete course
8.30pm (approx) Presentation of Plaques and Spot Prizes

GENERAL INFORMATION

REGISTRATION Available in the bar upstairs in the Westover Rowing Club from 6.00pm. Located to the right of Bournemouth Pier, behind the Sea Life Centre.

SWIMMING Courses vary in distance. One lap circuit in the open water.
Wetsuits are recommended. Please be ready on the beach 10 mins before start.

RUNNING Courses vary in distance, along the promenade, over the Cliff Top of Bournemouth sea front, finishing on the beach.

TRANSITION Please only take into the small transition area your running shoes and if required a small towel. Belongings can be left if in a small bag.

NUMBERS Please go to the race desk upstairs in the bar prior to the swim to be marked up on your arms and legs.

CHANGING Limited changing and toilets available downstairs only in the Westover Rowing Club. Please do not bring valuables, as lockers are not available. At the request of the Rowing Club please do not bring wet kit into the bar.

FACILITIES Bar available for spectators and competitors. Balcony overlooking beach giving excellent views of swim, run and finish.

RACE INTRUCTIONS

PARKING Pay and Display Parking is available at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).

AMENDMENT OF Competitors must notify the organisers of any corrections to entry details,
ENTRY DETAILS in particular the team represented, before starting the race. No exceptions will be made afterwards.

RESULTS A full set of results will be available on the day of the race. A provisional list will be posted on the website to which competitors will have 72 hrs to make queries. If you wish to have a set of results posted to you please leave 50p at the race desk in an addressed envelope.

RACE DESK Located in the bar, available for MARKING-UP and information. All BTA members must show their membership cards when registering.

PLEASE NOTE The organiser cannot be held responsible for competitors’ property lost, stolen or damaged before, during or after this event.

If you withdraw from the race at any time please inform the race desk!!
