FORMATION

• SWIMMING - 400 metres Marlborough Leisure Centre swimming pool is 25metres in 4 lanes. NO DIVING INTO POOL - Staggered start of up to 16 competitors every 10-20 minutes. Swimmers will be tapped on the shoulder and a paddle held under the water when they have two lengths to go. Please count your own lengthsPlease report to poolside 15 minutes before your swim time to assist organisers. Do not change your swim start!

• CYCLING - 20 miles approx Starting and finishing at the Marlborough Leisure Centre. Take great care. COMPETITORS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO START WITHOUT A HELMET! DRAFTING NOT PERMITTED! You must walk your bike between the transition and the mount/dismount line. The route leaves the leisure centre, then left at the A4 and via High Street and Hyde Lane out of Marlborough to Broad Hinton (8miles);via the A361 through Avebury to Beckhampton Roundabout (14miles) before returning to the leisure centre.
  
• RUNNING - 5 miles approx The route leaves the Leisure Centre, turn right at the A4 and run on the pavement along the right-hand side of the A4. The course runs out and back with a feed station at the turn round point in the car park. Do not turn early! Take care! Use pavements where possible & FOLLOW SIGNS!!
  
• NUMBERS Must be clearly visible for all three disciplines. If wearing a race belt please ensure the number can be seen through each timing point. Please go to the race desk prior to the swim to be marked up on your arms and legs.
  
• CHANGING Available at the Marlborough Leisure Centre.
  
• BICYCLES Bikes will be grouped together in the car park of the Leisure Centre. Find your race number on the racking for your place. Only competitors will be allowed inside the bike park for security reasons

RACE INTRUCTIONS

The Marlborough ‘Fast Twitch’ Triathlon is based at the Marlborough Leisure Centre. We are grateful to the Wiltshire Constabulary for their help with staging this event and all the other support groups for whom this event would otherwise not be possible.

• PARKING Please park at the Marlborough College in the designated areas. Parking at the Leisure Centre is for centre users only.
• IMPORTANT The Centre is located in a mainly residential area so please be quiet as to avoid disturbing the local residents early on a Sunday morning.
• SPECTATORS Spectators are particularly welcome to watch the event and enjoy the facilities at the Marlborough Leisure Centre, including hot drinks. There is a viewing balcony by pool. Please adhere to any photography/video policies the centre may enforce.
• AMENDMENT OF ENTRY DETAILS Competitors must notify the organisers of any corrections to entry details, in particular the team represented, before starting the race. No exceptions will be made afterwards.
• RESULTS A full set of results will be available on the day of the race. A provisional list will be posted on the website to which competitors will have 72 hrs to make queries. A set of results will be either e-mailed or posted to every competitor. Please remember, if we cannot see your number we cannot guarantee a split time.
• RACE DESK Located in the reception area for MARKING-UP and information.
  All BTA members must show their membership cards when being marked up!! Without this you will be charged £4 for a day licence. This is for insurance purposes and personal safety!! All unattached competitors will have paid for a Day Licence. Please ask race desk for details.
• PLEASE NOTE The organiser cannot be held responsible for competitors’ property lost, stolen or damaged before, during or after this event.

If you withdraw from the race at any time please inform the race desk!!
